500-Pound Bear Moves Into Crawl Space Under California Home

A 500-pound bear has taken up residence under a home in Altadena, California. Local photographer Ken Johnson discovered the unexpected guest while checking on damage beneath his home depot last week. The animal's presence has left him hearing its movements directly below his kitchen. Johnson first noticed signs of trouble in June when he spotted damage under his home goods. He set up a surveillance camera in the crawl space to investigate. The recordings later revealed the bear coming and going throughout the week. The bear continues to occupy the space under Johnson's homedepot for now. Wildlife officials are expected to arrive soon to handle the case. The outcome will depend on their assessment of the animal's behavior and safety risks.
