In the heart of Saxony-Anhalt, 482 generous souls have been approved as neighborhood helpers, as announced by the Ministry of Social Affairs. These individuals are here to provide aid and care to those in need within their local communities, earning a monthly compensation of 125 euros. Since the end of September, 273 of these approved helpers have undergone training, provided by the Society for Prevention in Old Age (PiA). Further training opportunities are on the horizon.
Training courses equip these volunteers with essential knowledge, such as legal aspects, clinical pictures, appropriate communication, and handling emergencies. Professionals already working in the care sector are exempt from additional training requirements. Those in need can then claim the 125-euro relief contribution from their care insurance fund.
Saxony-Anhalt's Ministry of Social Affairs revealed that the state government initiated this neighborhood assistance program in the spring, in line with the updated Care and Support Ordinance. The Ministry underlined that the 482 approved helpers in Saxony-Anhalt are now ready to undertake state-recognized training that qualifies them for the program.
Data from reliable sources indicates that the specifics of the state-recognized training courses for neighborhood assistants in Saxony-Anhalt can be found on the official government websites, the Care and Support Ordinance, or by contacting training institutions and local social services departments. General requirements may involve necessary education and certifications, relevant course content, practical experience, recognized qualifications, background checks, and language proficiency, with ongoing education for continuous improvement in caregiving skills.
