Grab your kicks and sneak into some sick slam dunks at the NRW3x3Tour, hitting up 16 locations across North Rhine-Westphalia, including Düsseldorf on June 1, 2023! Last year, the action went down at Gesamtschule Stettiner Straße, and this year, it's the same ball game. But excited players get a chance to shine at the final, scheduled for June 18 on the Campus Vest in Recklinghausen.

The NRW-Tour 3×3 has been lighting up courts since 1994, with over 150,000 players scoring big on the fun and games. Organized by the West German Basketball Association (WBV), the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of Children, Family, Refugees and Integration, AOK, and the North Rhine-Westphalia State Sports Association, this tournament is a bouncing testament to recreational sports.
Last year, the Gesamtschule Stettiner Straße hosted the event and snagged some shiny new balls for their efforts. But with Olympic status and a rock-solid focus on fostering sportsmanship, it's no shocker that this bad boy has been going strong for decades.

So, what do you need to do to get in on the action? Each team can have up to four players (three on the court and one backup), and slots will go to groups based on gender and age. There's no age limit, but the youngest players must be at least 8 years old, and fair play and respect are a must. No referee will be calling fouls; instead, a game leader will jot down the scores.
Registration costs €20, and the prize list is stacked with basketballs from Molten and gear from Spalding. Plus, if your school rocks and sends five teams to the NRW3x3Tour, you get a cool ten Molten balls! Contenders for Düsseldorf are already stacking up, but don't worry – there's still plenty of room for more! Approximately 120 teams signed up last year.
Don't let pesky weather spoil your game. Last year's weather was less than ideal, but the players kept their heads (and ball) in the game. Stefanie Betzer, AOK Regional Director, couldn't contain her enthusiasm, stating, "Inspiring children and young people for sport is incredibly important to us.... The upcoming basketball tour is the perfect opportunity for kids to work together as a team, share the love of basketball, and have a great time!"
