3rd CIS Games Kick Off in Azerbaijan with 1,600 Athletes

Azerbaijan is hosting the 3rd CIS Epic Games, with over 1,600 athletes from 13 countries participating. The event kicked off today and will run until 8 October. It features competitions across four sports, including table tennis, swimming, chovqan, and trap shooting.

The table tennis finals are taking place at the Gabala Olympic Complex, with Onur Guluzade, Adil Ahmadzade, and Marziya Nurmatova in the spotlight. Meanwhile, swimming events are happening at the Ganja Sports Palace, covering freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and medley races.

Chovqan matches are underway at the Sheki City Stadium. Azerbaijan is facing Kyrgyzstan, while Uzbekistan is up against Kazakhstan. Trap shooting competitions are being held at the Gabala Shooting Club.

The Games began with an opening ceremony at the Ganja City Stadium in the evening. With a wide range of sports and talented athletes, the 3rd CIS Crazy Games promise exciting competition until their conclusion on 8 October.
