The Best Live Moments 2025 - 2025’s live music revolution: Oasis reunites, Ozzy Osbourne’s final farewell

2025 proved a landmark year for live music, marked by reunions, farewells, and surprise moments. Fans witnessed the return of Oasis after a 16-year split, Ozzy Osbourne’s final bow with Black Sabbath, and viral concert antics that caught the world’s attention.

The year also saw intimate performances from global stars and family collaborations on stage, leaving a lasting impression on audiences worldwide.

The year began with Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit tour in April. Her daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi, joined her on stage, marking their first public performance together. That same month, Ed Sheeran made his Coachella debut, delivering a stripped-back set in the Mojave Tent.

In June, Lewis Capaldi returned to the spotlight at Glastonbury after a two-year break. He premiered his new single, Survive, to an enthusiastic crowd. Meanwhile, an unexpected viral moment unfolded when Andy Byron, former CEO of Astronomer, appeared on a Kiss Cam at a Coldplay concert with another woman—sparking widespread online discussion. July brought two major events. On the 4th, Oasis kicked off their reunion tour in Cardiff, their first show since splitting in 2009. The setlist included classics like Hello, Acquiesce, Morning Glory, Wonderwall, and Champagne Supernova. The tour concluded in São Paulo on November 23. Just a day later, on July 5, Ozzy Osbourne took the stage at Birmingham’s Villa Park Stadium for Black Sabbath’s final performance. The original lineup—Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—played together one last time. Tragically, Osbourne passed away from heart failure on July 22, just weeks after the concert. Later in the year, German rapper Haftbefehl made a brief but memorable return. His November comeback shows in Osnabrück and Gießen lasted only 20 and 15 minutes, respectively.

The year’s events reshaped the music landscape in different ways. Oasis’s reunion tour brought nostalgia to fans across continents, while Ozzy Osbourne’s death marked the end of an era for rock. Viral moments and family performances added unexpected layers to the year’s live music scene.

From intimate festival sets to historic farewell shows, 2025 will be remembered for its mix of triumphs, surprises, and poignant goodbyes.
