2025 PGA Championship Favorites: Rory and Scottie Equal Front-Runners for Title

The PGA Championship is just around the corner, and the golfing world is abuzz with anticipation. With the tournament set to begin on Thursday, the odds have been released for who might take home the coveted trophy.

According to the latest betting odds, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy have the shortest odds to win the PGA Championship, both at +450. Scheffler, who recently won The CJ Cup since the Masters, is considered a strong contender, despite never having won the PGA Championship before. His odds of +160 to win a major in 2025 are the shortest among all players.

Meanwhile, McIlroy, a four-time major champion, is also a favourite, having finished second at the Masters this year. His impressive form has not gone unnoticed, with bookmakers placing him alongside Scheffler as the most likely winners.

Xander Schauffele, the defending PGA Championship winner, is also in contention. Schauffele, who has +350 odds to win a major in 2025, is tied for the second-shortest odds with Bryson DeChambeau. Schauffele's recent form is impressive, having finished second at the Masters and winning the LIV Golf Korea tournament since then.

DeChambeau, who hasn't won the PGA Championship yet, is also a strong contender. His second-place finish at LIV Mexico City and winning LIV Golf Korea since the Masters have boosted his chances. He has +900 odds to win the PGA Championship and +350 odds to win a major in 2025.

Other top contenders include Viktor Hovland, Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, Hideki Matsuyama, Patrick Cantlay, Tommy Fleetwood, Jordan Spieth, Tyrrell Hatton, and Joaquin Niemann. These players all have odds of +2200 or less to win the PGA Championship.

It's worth noting that only three players on legal sports betting sites have odds under +1000 to win the PGA Championship. This suggests that the competition is fierce, and the outcome is anyone's guess.

As the PGA Championship approaches, fans and golf enthusiasts alike will be glued to their screens, eager to see who will emerge victorious. Will it be Scheffler or McIlroy, or will another player surprise us all? Only time will tell.
