2025 NFL Season: Seahawks Kick Off at Home Against 49ers Per New Schedule Release
Bob Condotta's News Flash
Get ready, Seahawks fans! The schedule for the 2025 season has been released, and we've got all the deets for you.
Kicking off at home against the rival 49ers on September 7, the season opener will take place at Lumen Field. The final match of the season will be a rematch against the 49ers, this time on the road, potentially on either January 3 or 4.
Interestingly, the Seahawks have no international games and will not be playing on Thanksgiving or Christmas. However, they'll be gracing our screens four times in prime time, just like they did last season.
Prime-time games include a Monday night affair at Lumen Field against C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans, a Sunday night game on Nov. 2 against Bobby Wagner and the Washington Commanders, as well as two Thursday night games - at Arizona (Sept. 25) and at home against the Rams (Dec. 18).
Fans excited for the return of Pete Carroll will be eager to know that he'll be bringing the Las Vegas Raiders to Lumen Field to kick off the preseason schedule. Other notable matches include a Week 2 trip to face the Pittsburgh Steelers and DK Metcalf, a visit to Tennessee for a reunion with Tyler Lockett in November, and a trip to Atlanta to face a Falcons team starting former UW standout Michael Penix Jr.
Early bird special: four 10 a.m. games are scheduled, including one against the Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, and Atlanta Falcons. Fortunately, the Seahawks have been on a roll with early starts in recent seasons, winning an impressive 27 games out of their last 38 early start games.
Gearing up for the season, the Seahawks are scheduled to fly 31,302 miles during the regular season, third-most of any NFL team. They'll have eight home games and nine on the road, similar to every other team in the NFC.
So mark your calendars, Seahawks fans, and get ready for another exciting season!
