The popular TV show "Farmer Wants a Wife" is set to return for a new season, airing on RTL in the fall of 2025. This time around, the show will feature 16 candidates from various regions across Germany, including Lower Saxony, Erzgebirge, Baden-Württemberg, and Brandenburg.

Jörg (57), a master gardener by profession in Lower Saxony, runs a poultry farm as a sideline. He is joined by Daniel (33), a cattle farmer from NRW with 100 cattle, 35 hectares of arable and grassland, and a family man at heart. Steffen (31), a horse trainer from Emsland, is looking to take over his parents' horse breeding farm with the right partner.

In the picturesque landscape of the Lüneburg Heath, Insa (28) works as a horse trainer, helping traumatized children restart their lives through therapeutic work with animals. Meanwhile, in the Ahr Valley, Michi (22), an agricultural and forestry student, plants Christmas trees with his father and takes care of sheep, pigs, and turkeys.

From the vineyards of Baden-Württemberg comes Armin (39), a dairy farmer and trained winemaker who emphasizes keeping his animals in a species-appropriate manner. Bastian (25), originally an industrial mechanic, completed his training as a farmer last year and is now a cattle farmer in Lower Franconia.

In the heart of Hesse, Herbert (59) operates a horse pension stable, ready for a new love after being separated from his wife for two years. Simone (55) operates an animal sanctuary in Saarland, caring for horses, ponies, donkeys, goats, two dogs, and a cat with many volunteer helpers.

Andreas (39), a cattle farmer from Lower Saxony, heads a contract farming operation with cattle fattening and crop farming, managing 250 hectares of arable land and 600 cattle. Friedrich (29) is an asparagus farmer from NRW who grows green asparagus, wheat, barley, triticale, field beans, and corn.

Christopher (31) runs a self-sufficient farm in Brandenburg with his mother Cordula (60) and best friend Lothar (68). Johann (60) is a cattle breeder from Lower Saxony, looking for a new partner after the death of his wife.

Each candidate shared their unique life stories before the show, with the hope of finding true love. The new season will be hosted by Inka Bause. In addition to the German season, there will also be a new season of "Farmer Wants a Wife International" in 2026.
