The highly-anticipated Haskell Stakes 2025 is set to take place at Monmouth Park on Saturday, July 19, with a post time of 5:45 p.m. ET. This Grade 1, two-turn race over 1 1⁄8 miles will feature a fascinating clash of speed versus stalker, as the track has been favouring early pace in recent races.

The field for this year's event is stacked with some of the best three-year-old horses, including the heavy favourite, Journalism (4/5, Jockey: Rispoli, Trainer: McCarthy). With strong recent form, Journalism is a key contender to watch.

Another horse to keep an eye on is Burnham Square (5-1, Jockey: Hernandez, Trainer: Wilkes), a Grade 1 winner (Blue Grass Stakes) who has been consistent in stakes races but yet to deliver a dominant performance. The horse finished 6th in the Kentucky Derby in sloppy conditions and is likely to sit back early due to Monmouth's speed favouring.

Bracket Buster (10-1, Jockey: Velazquez, Trainer: Oliver) is another intriguing entry. This horse recently scored a strong victory in the Pegasus, where others faltered, and is considered a double-digit longshot here.

Gosger (9/2, Jockey: Saez, Trainer: Walsh) is another horse to watch. This colt, ridden by Luis Saez who won the Haskell Stakes 2024 with Dornoch, has not finished worse than second in four starts, including a second-place finish to Journalism in the Preakness Stakes.

Goal Oriented (4-1, Jockey: Prat, Trainer: Baffert), trained by Bob Baffert who has won the Haskell Stakes nine times, is another strong contender. Goal Oriented ran fourth in the Preakness Stakes, his first stakes race after wins at six furlongs and 1 1/16 in a maiden special weight and an allowance race.

Wildncrazynight (30-1, Jockey: Castillo, Trainer: Ward) is another horse in the race, having competed in his second race at six furlongs. Although competitive previously, it is unlikely he will challenge the favourites due to the distance and class.

Kentucky Outlaw (15-1, Jockey: Geroux, Trainer: Dunn) is in his first graded stakes race. He won the Long Branch Stakes a couple of months ago but has had issues leaving the starting gate, and spotting a field this strong a head start could be a problem.

The winner of the Haskell Stakes 2025 will receive a spot in the Breeders' Cup Classic on November 1. This is a major $1 million Grade 1 event and part of the Breeders' Cup Challenge series.

The predicted trifecta key for the Haskell Stakes 2025 is $25 Trifecta Key : 6 / 2,8 / 2,8, where 6 represents Gosger.

This data provides a clear overview of odds and recent form for the main contenders in the 2025 Haskell Stakes. The race is expected to be a thrilling one, with several horses capable of securing the victory.

Odds for the Haskell Stakes 2025 indicate that Journalism (4/5) is the heavy favorite, boasting strong recent form and a key contender status. However, Burnham Square (5-1) and Gosger (9/2) are two intriguing horses to watch, having both delivered impressive performances in recent stakes races.
