2025 Air Show at Joint Base Andrews to Reinstate Display in Washington D.C.

The Joint Base Andrews Air Show is set to return on September 13-14, 2025, promising an exciting display of military and civilian aerial demonstrations, static displays, and family-friendly exhibits. The event will take place at the Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, within the Washington, D.C. region.

Residents and visitors near Joint Base Andrews should be aware of increased traffic and temporary road closures during the air show. The Suitland Parkway will be closed at specific times as follows:

  • Thursday, Sept. 11, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 12, from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 13, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, Sept. 14, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The 2025 air show aims to celebrate the evolution of airpower while showcasing current U.S. military aviation capabilities. Scheduled performers include the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team, the C-17 Demo Team, the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team, and the U.S. Naval Academy Parachute Team.

Buses will run from Northwest Stadium to Joint Base Andrews from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. The last return bus from Joint Base Andrews to Northwest Stadium will depart at 5 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, free public parking will be available at Northwest Stadium with free bus services to Joint Base Andrews.
