2024 Ballon d'Or Event Details: Date, Time, Nominees, Live Stream, and Methods to Watch France Football Prize Ceremony

The sports world is abuzz with excitement as the nominees for the prestigious 2024 Ballon d'Or and Kopa Trophy have been announced.

The Ballon d'Or, often referred to as the "Golden Ball," is the most coveted individual award in world football, recognising the best player of the year. The Kopa Trophy, on the other hand, is awarded to the best under-21 player of the year.

This year's nominees for the Ballon d'Or include some of the biggest names in football. Lamine Yamal from Barcelona, Spain, and Joao Neves from Benfica, Portugal, are among the contenders. The list also features players from clubs like Real Madrid, Man City, PSG, and more.

For the Kopa Trophy, the nominees represent the future of football. Savinho from Girona, Brazil, Arda Guler from Real Madrid, Turkey, and Alejandro Garnacho from Man Utd, Argentina, are some of the young talents vying for the trophy.

The ceremony for the Ballon d'Or and Kopa Trophy will take place at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris. The event will begin at 3:45 pm ET for US viewers and 7:45 pm GMT for UK viewers on Monday, October 28, 2024.

The winners of both awards will be decided by a mix of journalists and ex-players. For the Ballon d'Or, one journalist from each of the top 100 FIFA-ranked countries will rank their top five players of the season using a point system to decide the winner. The Kopa Trophy winner will be chosen by a jury of Ballon d'Or winners.

The nominees for the Yashin Trophy, awarded to the best goalkeeper of the year, include Gregor Kobel from Borussia Dortmund, Switzerland, Ronwen Williams from Mamelodi Sundowns, South Africa, and Gianluigi Donnarumma from PSG, Italy, among others. The winner will be decided by a panel of 100 journalists, similar to the men's Ballon d'Or.

Aitana Bonmati, the winner of the 2023 Ballon d'Or Feminin, will undoubtedly be a tough act to follow.

The ceremony can be watched live on Paramount+ (U.S.), YouTube (international), and other regional broadcasters. L'Equipe's official YouTube channel will also stream the event for free.

With such a talented pool of nominees, the 2024 Ballon d'Or and Kopa Trophy promises to be a thrilling event. Stay tuned for updates on the winners!
