The Los Angeles Rams, boasting the venerable Matthew Stafford, could pose the strongest challenge to the 49ers. If the Rams had managed to avoid the laundry list of injuries they suffered at the start of last season, the race for the West would have been close. Now, at full strength, the Rams are ready to give the 49ers a run for their money.

The team is looking to hold on to the majority of last year's Super Bowl lineup, including MVP Christian McCaffrey, Brock Purdy, Deebo Samuel, and most of their defense.
However, Transition is swiftly approaching, and the 49ers need to lock down receiver Brandon Aiyuk's future. He's made his desire for a swift resolution clear, and the team is already preparing for his potential departure by drafting receiver Ricky Pearsall.
