Once again, Nikopol, a city in Ukraine, is under relentless attack. According to the authorities, this time around, there have been three kamikaze drone attacks and two instances of heavy artillery fire on the city. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported, but infrastructure has taken a hit. The governor of Dnipropetrovsk region, Serhiy Lysak, reported these incidents. Just the previous day, Lysak had mentioned continuous shelling and several injuries in the area.

Moving on, Russia's military actions have claimed the life of a 69-year-old woman in Krasnopillja, Sumy region, as a result of Russian artillery shelling. Russian forces attacked the settlement at noon, leading to the woman's death after a shell hit her house. Located about 10 kilometers from the Russian border, Krasnopillja has become a recurring target in this ongoing conflict.

Tensions escalated further in the Russian region of Belgorod when regular Ukrainian units reportedly launched attacks on several villages. According to Russian media, "opponents of the Kremlin regime" carried out these attacks, causing panic among Russian troops, who responded by firing on nearby villages in disarray. However, verification of this report remains unavailable.

Protesting the ongoing captivity of their soldiers, relatives of Ukrainian prisoners of war took to the streets in Zaporizhia. Carrying posters with the names or photos of their loved ones, they demanded a prisoner exchange. Some of the soldiers captured by the Russians had previously defended Mariupol and are now facing another Christmas in captivity. The demonstrators set up a barbed wire Christmas tree to remind the public of their ongoing plight.
