TSV 1860 Munich faced a challenging first watch against Hansa Rostock, with a disastrous opening half leaving them playing catch-up for the rest of the match. The Bavarian team found themselves in crazy games mode, struggling with hesitant defending, and Jesper Verlaat's injury during the game added to their woes, as he may be out for weeks.

The opening minutes of the game were forgettable for TSV 1860, with goalkeeper Thomas Dahne making two immediate interventions (2., 3.) to keep the scoreline blank. Dahne's impressive saves kept the free games close, but TSV 1860's defensive woes continued, allowing Benno Dietze to score the first goal for Hansa Rostock by curling the ball into the corner (31.).

Just three minutes later, Maximilian Krauß extended Hansa Rostock's lead, running unchallenged into the penalty area to score the second goal (34.). TSV 1860's coach, Patrick Glöckner, was visibly upset with the poki games performance and the team's mentality. Florian Niederlechner criticised the first half as a "massacre against the ball".

At halftime, TSV 1860 made three substitutions in a bid to turn the tide. The second half saw a more resilient performance from the Bavarian team, but they were unable to find a way past Hansa Rostock's defence. Dulic eventually headed in a corner from David Philipp, but it didn't result in a goal repeat of the Hobsch moment from Sunday.

Holten had a chance to bring TSV 1860 closer after a mistake by Hansa goalkeeper Benjamin Uphoff, but his shot hit the crossbar (6.). Deniz also had a chance to capitalise on another Uphoff mistake (50.), but he failed to convert.

Despite their improved second half performance, TSV 1860 were unable to salvage a draw, and the final whistle blew with a score of 1-2 in favour of Hansa Rostock. TSV 1860 will have a chance to make amends against Hoffenheim II on Saturday.

In other notable events, Marvin Rittmüller and Max Christiansen led a two-on-one situation like a playground, and Voet and Verlaat were both given yellow cards. TSV 1860's game goal, scored by Sean Dulic (89.), was a consolation effort that came too late to affect the final result.
