The fifteenth stage of the Longines Global Champions Tour concluded in Rabat, Morocco, with a historic victory for 17-year-old Anastasia Nielsen. The Monegasque rider became the youngest athlete ever to win a Grand Prix in the Tour's history. Meanwhile, the St. Tropez Pirates team, led by Philippe Rozier and Thibault Philippaerts, secured the Global Champions League title in Rabat.
Nielsen, born on April 13, 2006, rode to victory in Rabat, her first win in the prestigious Tour. This triumph also earned her a spot in the upcoming Prague Super Grand Prix. Behind Nielsen, Denmark's Andreas Schou and Ireland's Denis Lynch finished second and third respectively in the Grand Prix.
In the team competition, the St. Tropez Pirates maintained a flawless performance to win the Global Champions League in Rabat. The Pirates, with Rozier and Philippaerts, finished clear of the Rome Gladiators in second place and the Istanbul Warriors in third. Emanuele Gaudiano, part of the Rome Gladiators team, finished 20th in the Grand Prix with 8 penalties on Nikolaj de Music.
