- 16 Casualties Resulting from U.S. Storms and Tornadoes - Fresh Alerts Discouraged

Brace yourself, America! A heck of a storm is heading your way, and it ain't no joke. The last couple of nights have seen some catastrophic storms and tornadoes tearing through wide stretches of the central and southern USA. So far, at least 16 poor souls have lost their lives, with 10 casualties in good ol' Missouri, as per various media outlets. NBC reported three deaths in Arkansas, and Texas was hit hard too – three car crash fatalities in the Amarillo area during an intense dust storm, according to local traffic authorities.

But the U.S. National Weather Service NOAA isn't stepping back and letting these freak weather events slide. They're warning of even more significant storms across the day, with potential tornadoes storming the Gulf Coast states. Oh boy, things could get nasty with numerous significant tornadoes predicted to cross these states in the afternoon and evening (local time)!

The areas at the highest tornado risk are Louisiana and Mississippi throughout the late morning to afternoon. But wait, there's more! By the evening, the storm could fan out over Alabama, reaching the northwestern parts of Florida and Georgia. So, it's shaping up to be a real doozy!

The extent of the damage is still unclear come morning, reported CNN. There were whispers of 23 tornadoes buzzing around Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, and Mississippi, according to ABC News.

More than 400,000 powerless souls are huddled in the dark in the Midwest and South of the USA, reported NBC. Buildings have been flattened. Videos from the scene depicted a wild chase, with numerous trucks flipping over in the storm.
