A 13-year-old suspect is now under suspicion for a string of car burglaries in Coburg, Upper Franconia. Over the past fortnight, this teenaged culprit targeted seven vehicles, acting swiftly to gain entry through broken or pried-open windows. Their primary aim was to swipe valuable items, including electronic devices and wallets.

On one occasion, the young offender used a stolen EC card to purchase a soft drink from a store with surveillance cameras. Cunningly, detectives identified the perpetrator from this footage.

As a result of these break-ins, the 13-year-old allegedly amassed loot around €1,500 in value. Damages to the affected vehicles have escalated the total cost to a whopping €10,000 for the police to address. Unfortunately, due to the suspect's age, prosecution isn't an option.

The authorities urge parents to be more proactive in monitoring their children's activities in Coburg, Upper Franconia, to prevent similar incidents from escalating further.
