12-Ton KitKat Heist Leaves Europe Baffled and Amused

A truck loaded with over 12 tons of KitKat chocolate has vanished while travelling from Central Italy to Poland. The theft, involving 413,793 units of a new product, has sparked both concern and amusement online.

The truck was intercepted mid-journey, leaving authorities searching for its whereabouts. Nestlé confirmed the vehicle remains missing but assured the public that no safety risks exist.

Social media users quickly compared the heist to a plot from a Soderbergh film. While the company played down supply chain fears, it acknowledged potential disruptions across Europe. In a light-hearted response, Nestlé reminded everyone to 'have a break' with KitKat despite the setback.

The stolen shipment includes a newly launched KitKat variant, adding to the unusual nature of the crime. Police continue their investigation, but the truck has yet to be recovered. Nestlé maintains that production and distribution remain unaffected for now.
