10-foot shark spotted near Oahu’s Nanakuli Beach Park prompts advisory
A shark advisory has been issued for Nanakuli Beach Park on Oahu. Authorities took action after a 10-footshark was seen swimming close to shore this morning. Warning signs are now in place along the beach.
The Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources activated the shark alarm at Nanakuli Beach Park. Lifeguards from Ocean Safety confirmed the sighting of a 10-footshark roughly 50 feet from the water’s edge. Despite its size, the animal was described as non-aggressive.
